Dr. Raj Nehru, Director General, Swaran Jayanti Haryana Institute of Fiscal Management

Distinguished dignitaries, esteemed Vice-Chancellors, industry leaders, representatives of academia, officers of the State Government and young minds gathered here today
It is my privilege and honour to be among you today on this occasion that celebrates the convergence of knowledge, governance, and innovation.
The theme — “Samarth Haryana: Navachaar Se Aatmanirbharta Ki Aur” — is not a mere slogan. It is a philosophy. It captures our collective resolve to transform aspiration into achievement, and research into real-world impact.
The “From Lab to Factory” initiative stands as a powerful demonstration to what becomes possible when academia and industry speak the same language. For too long, the two have operated in parallel worlds — one generating knowledge, the other seeking solutions. This initiative closes that gap with purpose and precision. As I have always believed: Universities must not remain centres of theory alone — they must become engines of practical transformation. I urge our academia researchers to think beyond degrees, and to measure their success by the problems they solve and the lives they improve.
To our academic institutions, the message is equally clear: align your curricula with industry needs and emerging technologies. The gap between what is taught and what the world demands must be bridged today, not tomorrow. Your responsibility is to nurture not just scholars, but innovators and entrepreneurs who can drive Haryana’s transformation. Today, Haryana has every potential to emerge as a premier knowledge and innovation hub — and initiatives like this serve as a foundation on which that future will be built.
I also take great pride in launching “Akshay Smriti” — the Haryana State Archives Policy. Our historical records and rare manuscripts are not relics of a forgotten era; they are the living memory of our civilisation. Making this heritage scientifically preserved, digitally catalogued and publicly accessible is an act of both cultural responsibility and governance wisdom. As I firmly believe: a society that preserves its past builds a stronger and wiser future.
The NEEV Portal exemplifies how technology can be harnessed as a force multiplier for policy delivery. Real-time monitoring, data-driven decision-making, and institutional accountability — these are the hallmarks of 21st-century governance. Digital platforms like NEEV will redefine how we measure, monitor, and improve educational outcomes across the State.
Together — policy, technology, education, and industry — these are the four pillars of a truly Samarth Haryana.
I want to conclude with a thought: progress is not achieved in silos — it is built through collaboration. I congratulate the SJHIFM, the State Support Mission and every stakeholder who has contributed to these landmark initiatives. I am confident that Haryana will continue to lead by example — in innovation, in governance and in inclusive development.
    Jai Hind. Jai Haryana!
