Mahavir Jayanti event, Karnal, March 30, 2026
Smt Mitra Ghosh Ji, First Lady of Haryana
Shri Dattatreya Hosabale Ji, Sarkaryavah, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh
Distinguished Guests, Dear Devotees, Ladies and Gentlemen!
Suprabhatam!
At the very outset, I extend my heartfelt greetings and warm wishes on the auspicious eve of Mahavir Jayanti to everyone present here and to the people of Haryana and the entire nation. This sacred day reminds us of the timeless teachings of Bhagwan Mahavir, whose message of truth, non-violence, compassion and self-discipline continues to guide humanity even today.
I consider myself truly fortunate to be present here, along with Lady Governor Smt Mitra Ghosh Ji, to celebrate the foundation day of Shri Atma Manohar Jain Aaradhana Mandir, which beautifully coincides with the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Mahavir. This convergence of occasions makes the moment even more spiritually enriching and meaningful.
Today also marks the inauguration of the Shri Atma Manohar Jain Niraamay Kendra. I firmly believe that this noble initiative will play a significant role in promoting health, wellness and holistic well-being among the people of Karnal and nearby areas. In today’s fast-paced world, such centres are not just institutions but beacons of hope and healing.
Dear friends, while we gather here in devotion and celebration, we cannot remain oblivious to the challenges facing the world today. The ongoing crisis in West Asia is a stark reminder of how fragile peace can be.
In such turbulent times, the teachings of Bhagwan Mahavir become even more relevant. His emphasis on non-violence, respect for multiple perspectives and harmony offers a path towards peace and coexistence.
Let us resolve to imbibe these values in our daily lives and contribute towards building a more compassionate and harmonious society.
I would also like to commend the remarkable service being rendered by Shri Atma Manohar Jain Aaradhana Mandir. The institution has been consistently working for the welfare of the people of Karnal and surrounding areas, promoting spiritual growth, social service and community well-being. Such efforts truly embody the spirit of selfless service and deserve our highest appreciation.
Once again, I extend my warm greetings on the pious occasion of Mahavir Jayanti. I earnestly urge you to contribute in every possible way towards promoting and strengthening the teachings of Lord Mahavira, which are deeply rooted in the ideals of equality, justice, fraternity, inclusion, compassion and humanity.
Thank You! Jai Hind
