All distinguished guests, faculty members and my dear students who have joined us virtually!

It gives me immense pleasure to join you on the auspicious occasion of the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Cafeteria at Rose Garden, Kurukshetra University.
I sincerely appreciate Shri Hemant Gupta Ji and Smt Nalini Gupta Ji, proud alumni of this great institution, for their generous contribution of five lakh US dollars. Their support shows their deep sense of gratitude towards their alma mater and will inspire many others to give back.
I also wish to use this occasion to appeal to the vast alumni network of Kurukshetra University spread across India and the world that your contributions, whether through mentorship, scholarships, internships, research collaborations, philanthropy or infrastructure development, can play a transformative role in shaping the future of this great institution.
I urge the University Administration to make special efforts to reach out to more alumni and encourage them to support deserving students from economically weaker sections. Special attention should be given to those families where not even a single member has been able to pursue higher education for generations.
Such students should be identified and willing alumni should be encouraged to sponsor their education so that no talented young person is deprived of higher education due to financial hardship.
    Dear Friends,
Kurukshetra University, situated on the sacred land of the Bhagavad Gita, has been a centre of excellence for nearly seven decades. It has shaped generations of scholars and professionals and has made a valuable contribution to nation-building through quality education and strong values.
I am happy to learn that Kurukshetra University has emerged as a leading centre of women-centric higher education, with girl students forming the majority on the campus.
In this spirit, I would like to suggest that the upcoming cafeteria be managed by an all-women team. Such an initiative would not only promote women’s leadership and entrepreneurship, but also serve as an inspiring example of women empowerment in action.
With these words, I once again congratulate the Kurukshetra University and extend my best wishes for its continued success, growth and excellence in the years to come.
    Thank You! Jai Hind!
