. Dear degree recipients and their parents, faculty and staff!
. Ladies and Gentlemen,
. It is an occasion of immense pleasure for me to be with you on the 8th Convocation of this University. As Chancellor, it is wonderful to see the new graduating, post-graduating and doctoral students of this university.
I extend my warm greetings and felicitations to the faculty, staff, both teaching and non-teaching, and all the new degree recipients in the start of the second quarter of the 21st Century – Graduates, Post-Graduates and Doctorates – of the university on this convocation ceremony.
Congratulations to the parents and teachers of the graduating students who always stood behind them and inculcated a feeling of hard work, perseverance, honesty and sincerity among these students in achieving their goals.
. Dear young friends,
You have achieved a true milestone by completing your education from one of the top universities of science and technology in Haryana. It is the moment to express your gratitude to all those who supported and guided you in realizing your success, especially the university fraternity and your parents. My heartfelt congratulations to all whose hard work has been paid off.
. I trust the University has done the best to prepare you to go out into the world, do great things for yourself, for society and the world around. Now, you are the valued ambassadors of this University as its alumni.
You are graduating in India at a time when our economy is one of the strongest and fastest-growing economies. I believe it is your participation in the new startup culture being favoured by the present government that will make us the topmost economy of the world in the coming days.
Now is the time to try to put into practice what you have learnt in your academic pursuits. Moreover, now you have also matured mentally, emotionally and socially.
. Also, I am very happy to see that the majority of graduates at the PG and PhD levels are young women from India and especially from Haryana. The NEP-2020 and financial support for deprived students will further ensure it.
I am sure, as proud alumni of this premier university of Haryana you will continue to bring your state glory with an added zeal and dedication in the years to come.
. However, you must never forget that in the society we are part of, we can never afford to ignore the poor, the downtrodden, the marginalised people and those less privileged than us who are living in our communities.
Your helping hand to them will make India stronger. Real success is about giving back to society, to the nation. I want you to believe in concepts like Skill India Mission, the National Digital Literacy Mission or Digital Saksharta Abhiyan and encourage others towards it for digital and skill literacy.
. In the present era of technological development, the universities in India are challenged by various new developments in teaching, learning and skilling practices. We have to come up with digital literacy, skilling needs and AI challenges.
Further, universities must aim to develop relations with industries and civil society through public-private partnership. Only with high-quality education will we be able to compete with the developed nations on equal terms in the modern era of globalisation. You are supposed to be globally competitive.
. I am confident that the faculty in DCRUST has adequately developed creativity and skills among these new graduates in order to help them build this nation more strongly in the second quarter of the 21st century.
On the historic day of the 8th convocation, I offer my congratulations to the university family and give my blessings to the students who are being awarded their degrees. My good wishes will always be with these new ambassadors.
Thank You! Jai Hind!
