. Distinguished Guests, Learned Scholars, Dear Students and All Present Here.

My greetings to all of you present here in the auditorium of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology.

. It gives me immense joy and a deep sense of pride to be among you on this valedictory occasion of Aksharam – A Festival of Literature, Dialogue and Culture. Being amidst young minds and learned people fills me with renewed energy and hope.
. In the past three days, this campus has hosted not merely events but a vibrant confluence of ideas, sensitivity and cultural expression. Here, words were not only spoken but they were lived. True literature is first experienced within, and then it shapes society. As the saying goes, literature is that which serves the welfare of all and refines humanity.
I congratulate Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology and its collaborators for creating a platform that harmonizes technical education with cultural and emotional depth. Rooted in noble values, this institution continues to nurture them through such initiatives. My best wishes are with them.
    . Dear Friends,
The very name Aksharam signifies the eternal – what does not decay. This festival stands as a testament to that enduring spirit. The themes discussed, ranging from identity and ideology to climate change and artificial intelligence, reflect the pressing concerns of our times.
Literature, as Agyeya said, is a critique of life. It compels reflection and awareness. I would like to add here that literature is the most powerful tool to build a social order which is rooted in the ideas of equality, justice, fraternity, liberty, affection, compassion and inclusion.
As a scholar of Political Science, I take literature as a friend, guide, critic and philosopher which must be promoted and made an integral part of life. Accordingly, we must respect litterateurs around us, listen to them and imbibe their teachings in our lives.
    . Dear students,
Your enthusiasm has been the soul of this festival. I urge you not to remain mere consumers of knowledge, but to become creators. In an age shaped by technology, remember that true creativity springs from sensitivity, not just intellect. Machines may assist us, but they cannot feel as we do.
The celebration of folk traditions alongside modern discourse reminds us that progress lies in balancing roots with innovation. Universities must remain centers of dialogue, for it is through dialogue that societies grow more inclusive and enlightened.
As we face global challenges, the need for thoughtful conversation and cultural depth becomes even greater. Literature must guide us, not merely reflect us.
. Let this festival inspire you to live the words you read, carry forward meaningful dialogue and embrace culture as a way of life. May Aksharam continue to grow in vision and impact, and may each of you contribute to building a just, creative, stronger and more inclusive nation.

    Thank You! Jai Hind!
