Esteemed Guests, Dignitaries, Ladies and Gentlemen.
I am greatly honoured and privileged to be among our respected ex-servicemen, veterans, and Veer Naris whose courage, discipline and sacrifice have contributed immensely to the security and progress of our nation.
I profusely thank Akhil Bharatiya Poorva Sainik Seva Parishad, Haryana for organizing this event to honour their patriotism, selfless service and exemplary sacrifice.
I am of the firm opinion that our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid. They have earned our undying gratitude.
Dear Friends,
Haryana has a proud military tradition, with countless soldiers serving the nation with exceptional courage and commitment. The heroic deeds of our soldiers from the great land of Ahirwal during the Battle of Rezang La continue to reverberate in our minds and souls.
Their extraordinary bravery, determination and supreme sacrifice in the face of overwhelming odds stand as an enduring symbol of India’s military valour. They demonstrated that true courage is not measured by numbers or circumstances, but by the willingness to stand firm in defence of the motherland.
Dear all,
It is our collective responsibility to remember the legacy of our brave soldiers, honour their families and draw inspiration from their exemplary dedication to the country.
I am happy to share that for the welfare, dignity and rehabilitation of ex-servicemen and Veer Naris, several significant measures have been undertaken including the implementation of One Rank One Pension.
The ex-gratia assistance provided to the families of soldiers who make the supreme sacrifice has also been increased from Rs 50 lakh to Rs 1 crore.
You would be glad to know that the Haryana Government has established the Department of Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare.
In the 2026-27 Budget, the establishment of the Haryana Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare Corporation for the rehabilitation and livelihood enhancement of soldiers was announced. The process for setting up the corporation is currently underway.
The budget of the Department of Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare has been proposed to be increased by 58.93 per cent to Rs 178.14 crore.
Dear Friends,
In conclusion, I urge all stakeholders to reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that the sacrifices of ex-servicemen, veterans and Veer Naris are never forgotten and that their families receive the respect, care and support they truly deserve.
I am quite confident that the Haryana Government will continue to work with dedication for the welfare, rehabilitation and empowerment of our soldiers and their families.
I once again salute our gallant soldiers, veterans and Veer Naris. Your valour is Haryana’s pride, your sacrifice is the nation’s legacy and your service will forever remain etched in the hearts of the people of our great country.
Thank You! Jai Hind!
