Prof. Deepti Dharmani, Vice-Chancellor, CBLU
Prof. Bhavna Sharma, Registrar, CBLU
Respected faculty, staff, proud parents and my dear graduating
students!
It gives me great pleasure to extend a warm welcome to Hon‟ble
Justice Surya Kant, Chief Justice of India, on this joyous and solemn
occasion of the Convocation. I am delighted to be part of this august
gathering as we celebrate the achievements of our graduating students.
It is deeply satisfying to witness how a young institution has grown
into a thriving centre of learning. In just over a decade, the University
has made remarkable progress, offering a wide range of programmes
across numerous departments and affiliated colleges, and serving nearly
50,000 students—an achievement that is truly commendable.
This progress reflects Haryana‟s strong commitment to education
and development. With its rich heritage and achievements across diverse
fields, the state is steadily emerging as a hub of knowledge and
innovation, and institutions like this University are central to that
journey.
Today, we celebrate not just academic success, but the
transformative journey of 444 graduating students. It is especially
heartening that a majority are young women—an inspiring reflection of
growing women‟s empowerment and our commitment to inclusive and
equitable education.
Today, India is advancing with renewed confidence toward the
vision of a „Developed India‟. Flagship initiatives like Digital India,
Make in India, Start-up India and Skill India are empowering citizens
and creating new opportunities across the nation. Haryana, with its
strong industrial base and growing digital and entrepreneurial
ecosystem, is playing a vital role in this journey.
I am glad that Chaudhary Bansi Lal University is aligning itself
with this vision by introducing forward-looking, industry-relevant
programmes in areas such as semiconductor and drone technology,
along with skill-based courses. These initiatives will strengthen
employability and foster innovation and self-reliance among students.
Dear students,
Having been a college professor myself, I have always cherished
my interactions with students. Today, I can see the excitement and hope
reflected on your faces as you stand at the threshold of a new journey.
Some of you will pursue higher studies, while others will step into
professional life. On this significant occasion, I would like to share a
few thoughts with you.
Learning does not end with formal education—it is a lifelong
pursuit. Mahatma Gandhi remained a lifelong learner, constantly
acquiring new languages, ideas, and skills, which kept him relevant and
engaged throughout his life. You too must cultivate this spirit of
curiosity, as continuous learning is essential to staying relevant in a
rapidly changing world.
At the same time, I urge you to uphold the spirit of “Nation First.”
Stay grounded, remain humble, and stay connected to your roots.
Remember, being a citizen of this great nation is both a privilege and a
responsibility.
Your achievements today are not yours alone—they are the result
of the support and contributions of your families, teachers, and society.
As you move forward, extend a helping hand to those in need. A society
progresses when its members uplift one another.
I also encourage you to carry strong ethical values into every
sphere of your life. Be sensitive to the needs of the underprivileged. It is
your character and integrity that will define your true success.
With these words, I once again congratulate everyone associated
with this institution. My best wishes to the graduating students for a
bright and successful future.
Thank you! Jai Hind!
